WISC has taken the appropriate steps to develop a Player Evaluation Form (PEF) that will be gradually implemented with regards to the LTPD concept. The PEF will enable technical staff as well as competitive coaches to evaluate the characteristics of players by using a transparent and consistent document. Please see the links below to make yourself familiar with the template. This document will be implemented starting in 2012 for selected age groups (U8 - U12). The age groups U13 - U18 are also encouraged to use this form as a reference over the season and during the tryout process.
If you are practising using any facility other than a Durham District School Board or Durham Catholic District School Board property, please forward the name and practice night / day and time to the Club office for our reference and records.
Coaches - to book a gym with the Durham District School Board - please check the list of available gyms below. These are the only gyms the Board offer for use and they will only deal with our Club office for gym bookings. Send an e-mail to admin@whitbysoccer.com with your first and second choice of gym, week nights, and start and stop dates. An application will be submitted on your behalf to the school board. Once your permit has been confirmed, you will be required to bring a deposit to the office of $100 before your permit will be released to you. The balance will be due in the office no more than two weeks after the date your gym is booked.
Should you wish to book a gym with the Durham Catholic District School Board, please advise the Club of your request including gym, day and time preference.
NOTE - DDSB permits start no earlier than 2 weeks after your application is received by the Community Use Office.
WISC requires a deposit of $100 at time of booking any gym.
PLEASE NOTE the following:
When submitting to the Club an APPLICATION TO TRAVEL TO AN EXHIBITION GAME out of District - it must be accompanied by an Application to Host regardless of whether our team is hosting or another Club is hosting. Attach this to your ATF before submitting it to the Club office for processing and forwarding to the Region.
EXHIBITION GAMES between a WISC team and another Durham Region Club team require that an Application to Host (OSA form) be completed and submitted to the Club office to be signed and forwarded to the Region. The Region will expect to receive a completed game sheet after the game. At this time there is NO FEE payable to the Region for this form under these circumstances.
Exhibition Games between two WISC teams (WISC v WISC) require that you notify the Club office of the date, time, location and identity of the two teams involved and that a completed game sheet be returned to the Club office immediately after the game.
Referees for ALL exhibition games are scheduled by contacting Gord Arrowsmith, the Club Head Referee by e-mail at whitbyrefs@rogers.com.
Teams are reminded that they must complete a Playing Out form ASAP in order to receive approval to play in a winter league out of the District.
Be familiar with our Field Use Policy and be prepared to share your practice field at all times. Requests for practice fields must be received in writing or by e-mail. If you plan on having a game, the Club must be notified and the field booked accordingly.
Complete and forward to the club office and Whitby this Week
