The U14 Girls B team conquered the Brossard Challenge in Quebec this past weekend. The girls played hard against several local teams, and went head to head for an exciting match with the Oshawa Turuls to make it to the Semi Finals agains Oshawa Kicks. After an undefeated streak the girls met the Turuls again for a nail biter in the finals 0-0 for regular play and extended play to penalty shots to win it all! This is the first year this particular configuration of girls have played together, and so far, it has been a stellar season! We also want to congratulate the U13 and U15 girls who also won their divisions at the Brossard Challenge. Whitby swept the event! It was a great weekend with many great memories! Thank you from the parents and girls to the coaching staff Alana Isnor our Goalie Coach, Sam Stephens and Kelly Wagg our trainers and most of all to coach Jason Shaw for all his enthusiasm and dedication, not only to the girls skills development, but to their love of the game!

The U13 Boys did it again... Silver Medalists!

The Whitby U13 Boys travelled to Kingston on July 23/24 to participate in the Ambassador Cup. Through the scorching heat they went undefeated in Division 1 Round Robin play vs Brantford, West Ottawa, Ottawa Gloucester and Northumberland. They went head to head against Markham in the semi finals and won an impressive 3-1 match! The final game was their fourth game of the day, in 30+ degree temps vs Waterloo. A penalty shot that barely snuck through was the deciding factor in a 1-0 loss for the Championship. With 10 teams playing in the top division we are so proud of the U13 boys for such an accomplishment! Congratulations Boys!

A fantastic weekend for Whitby soccer at the International Jaguar Invitational Showcase in Novi Michigan!  Playing in the U16 Boys Elite Division (top of 3 tiers), our boys opened the 2016 pre-season with a very strong performance (3-0-0) in front of a few scouts, going undefeated in their Group, beating the top Erie squad 3-2, the Michigan Academy team 3-0, and a Windsor OYSL team 1-0, earning a well-deserved place in the Finals. Though our weekend ended in a tough loss vs. a dominant state team  I am delighted with the progress our team has made.
