U14 Whitby OPDL teams
The Girls and Boys U14 Whitby OPDL teams traveled to Dublin, Ohio for the
Nike Challenge Cup, led by Coach Steve Airlie, and in both cases came home
with the cup.
Although our Whitby teams faced teams with players who were older and stronger, our opponents' kick and run games were no match for the technical skill, ball control and passing ability that WISC has developed in our players.
Well done boys and girls!
Both teams are currently still searching for one more player. Please contact Coach Steve for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org
Congrats to the 1999A Girls - Ontario Cup Indoor Champs 2015

Whitby under-18 soccer team wins CSL league and cup titles
Thirteen players have moved on to university, college teams
WHITBY -- The Whitby under-18 soccer team closed out a successful run on the field by winning both the Central Soccer League L3 Division and the CSL League Cup this summer.
The team members have also shone off the field, and many have moved to exciting post-secondary opportunities.
Five players from the original under-eight team that was assembled by coach Chris Reilly remained in the U18 roster this season, with others being long-time Whitby players.
Five players also represented local high schools in OFSAA soccer this year.
Last year, the team won the CSL League Cup and the Trent University Showcase in Peterborough, and in 2011 won the U15 Ontario Cup for tier 2.
In 2007, at the U11 age group, the team won the prestigious Schwan’s USA Cup in Minnesota against teams from all over North America.
Among the solid cast of leaders on the team were Jared Brookes, of Sinclair Secondary School, who was on the student senate for the Durham District School Board, and Vinay Padalia, who was the prime minister of the student council at Donald Wilson.
Those now playing at the post-secondary school level include Michael Chin-Sang, Negus Luke and Liam Stocks at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Dominic Murdaca, Colin Reilly and Aidan Comeau at Durham College, Brayden Pickering and Padalia at McMaster University, Alexsander Biorac at University of Toronto, Carlos Gonzales-Mugaburu at Ryerson University, Connor Goudey at Queen’s University, Eric Theriault at University of Ottawa and Dan Lay at University of Western Ontario. Other team members are Mike Miura, Darnell Myles and Jacob Stephens.
We are very proud of our very own "FIFA Super Soccer Dad" - Billy Pachis !!
Congratulations Billy - we are very lucky to have you in our Club !!!

D uring this time Lucas played in all 4 pro youth games against Chelsea, West Ham Utd, Tottenham, and S underland, He scored 2 goals and had several assists. His time there was so successful that he has bee n invited back in 2015, and I have also received Invites from Manchester City, and Chelsea FC. David Thorburn, WISC Technical Director has taken a few players from the Durham region in the last 5 years including Canadian Youth International Keeper Danie l Milton. David has take n the same route with Daniel as he also worked with Chelsea, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, and Fulham before signing for English Championship side Blackpool, where Daniel is about to start his third season. WISC and the Durham region are full of talented young players and I believe I will be sending many more overseas in the near future.

The Whitby Iroquois 98 Boys soccer team won their first tournament of the year at the Belleville Comets Invitational tournament over the May31st/June 1st weekend.
Mason did an amazing job keeping his net clean by not allowing a single goal during the entire tournament! The defence was anchored by Connor, Riley, Jordan, and Isaac who shut down everything that came their way. Creative midfield players were Kavon, Machi, Ben, Nick, Theo, Matt, Moses, and Vivek. The striking force of Josh, Andrei, Adam, and Wyatt provided all the scoring for the weekend. Alex was unavailable to play during the tournament due to injury, but cheered on his teammates in the final games. The team is Coached by Razvan Pulca and Mike D'Agnillo, and Managed by Kim Vieira! Thanks to the wonderful parents and sponsors for their continued support. Next stop....to take home some more hardware in New York on the July 25th weekend!
