Ontario Soccer's Bulletin - I2021-046 - Update on Return to Play 2021

Ontario Soccer is working with Canada Soccer and the Government of Ontario with respect to Return to Play 2021.

As announced on May 20, 2021, restrictions surrounding Outdoor Activities will follow a new three step re-opening framework.

Organized team SPORT TRAINING, with up to 10 participants, is scheduled to begin in Step 1 of the roadmap to reopening.

The current estimated start date for Step 1 (Ontario Soccer’s “Phase 1”) of the Government of Ontario’s new Opening Framework is June 14, 2021.

However, Ontario Soccer is eagerly awaiting sport specific information from the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries in order to provide more guidance regarding the re-opening framework for soccer in STEP 2.

Unfortunately, at the present time, or until more information is available, no organized team sports such as soccer is permitted under the Government Public Health orders.

STEP 1 - TRAINING (10 players - socially distant) is tentatively planned to begin on June 14.
