Respect in Sport - Parent Program

The Respect In Sport - Parent module is mandatory for all families who register their children with our Club.   Parents/Guardians will be asked for their certification number at the time of the club's online registration.  Once certification is complete, it is not necessary to repeat.

The certification takes approx. 1 hour to complete.  The program is an  online module for parents/guardians, reinforcing their role in their child’s activities, encouraging positive sport behaviours and providing insight into the various roles other individuals play, such as coaches and officials. This program empowers parents to ensure the safety of their children, encourage positive and effective communication and to enhance a child's overall enjoyment of soccer.

The online course costs $12.00 and is transferable to other sports involved in Respect in Sport. Only one parent/guardian per family is required to attain the certification (if a family has more than one child participating, that parent can use their certification for each child).

Parents with players in U19 & older are not required to take Respect in Sport as these are considered Adult Leagues.

Durham Region Soccer Association has made the Respect in Sport - Parent program mandatory for one parent or guardian to complete the program.
