Pending our movement to Phase 2 of the Return to Play (on Friday July 24) :

  • we anticipate starting the first week of August and extend into September
  • depending on responses of the currently registered players, some of the advertised divisions / locations / playing days, may have to be revised
  • the sessions will take place during the week and a few possibly on the weekend
  • for the registered players returning to play, they will receive a credit less the difference of the eight sessions

We strongly recommend that a parent or sibling attends with our U3 to U6 players to help assist with social distancing and complete technical based activities.

*Processing fees will apply for all online registrations or any credit card payments made in our office.  Requests for refunds will only be considered prior to the first day of the season and subject to $35 administrative fee.  

We would also like to highlight that first and foremost, we respect everyone’s decision to return to play. If you are not comfortable with returning to play, please DON’T.

For those who do not wish to return, please complete the Request form – COVID – Outdoor 2020.  We are working through the requests in date order and appreciate your patience.

Calling all Rising Soccer stars - Summer 2020

  • shinpads are mandatory; cleats are optional but recommended (no jewellery)
  • U4 , U5 & U6 programs offer gender specific or co-ed options + location choices in Whitby and Brooklin (see below)
  • Hunter's Photography photo dates: cancelled
  • ActiveStart Festival:  cancelled
  • Please note:  games are played on Statutory holidays such as Victoria Day, Cananda and the Civic holiday
  • In the case of rain, please check the Home page for field closures which are posted as soon as possible.  If the field status is OPEN, please proceed to your game.

The emphasis will be on lots of touches with both feet - running with the ball, stopping and changing direction with the ball, dribbling, kicking and shooting.

Sessions include a 20 minute warm-up, 5 minute "break" and will conclude with a 3v3 small-sided game against the team you are scheduled to share the field (approx 60 minutes).

U6 Girls - Willow Park


U6 - FUNdamentals

The emphasis will be on lots of touches, dribbling, passing, shooting. Small-sided games are in a 4v4 format. Players should play a fair amount of time in each position by rotating through each "position" on the field.  No goalkeepers / no scores or standings / coaches act as game supervisors and are allowed on the field (1 coach per team please)

Sessions include a 15 minute warm-up, 5 minute "break" and conclude with a 4v4 small-sided game (2x15 min. halves) against the team you are scheduled to share the field (approx 60 minutes).

Just a friendly reminder ...

Parents / spectators sit on the opposite side of the field from the coaches and players. Parents should cheer for all of the players on the field, not just their own.  Parents / spectators are not permitted to sit near the corners, the goal line or the goal.

Program provides a curriculum framework for children focusing on soccer skills tailored to include - Physical Literacy:  

  • Basic motor skills
  • Emotional, personal and social development
  • Individual ball mastery
  • Cognitive development 

Training Overview:

  • Ball Mastery – exercises changing direction moves where players work alone using the ball with high repetition of touches
  • Physical Literacy – fun games incorporating game specific movements
  • Small-sided games for U4, U5 and U6 programs – 3v3, 4v4 games ... fun, fun, fun
